MIT Farm is a community-driven initiative that brings together students, staff, faculty, and local farmers in collectively carring about food and each other.
We share a belief that caring about what we eat is our collective responsibility. What started as a campus-based growing initiative has evolved into an organization commited to building bridges between MIT and our local farming community.

What we do?
Volunteering
We host regular volunteer sessions at Hannan’s Healthy Foods, Eastie Farm, and the Boston Medical Center rooftop farm, where participants gain practical experience in urban farming.

Fresh Food Access
In collaboration with the MIT Office of Sustainability and MIT Anthropology, we run the Fresh Food Bag program to provide students with affordable, locally grown produce.
Designing
Through pilot projects like FarmCart, we create spaces for the MIT community to gather, share ideas, and work toward establishing a permanent farm on campus.
